Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization (EHO) from Novi Sad, Serbia is, legally speaking, a humanitarian, non-factional, non-governmental and non-profit association of citizens, registered in accordance with the Law on Association of Citizens into Associations, Social Organizations and Political Organizations that are Established on the Territiory of Socialist Federative Republic of Yugoslavia (Official Gazette of SFRJ, no. 42/90), with activities registered in the territory of Vojvodina.
We are actively involved in the building of a cohesive civil society in Serbia by working in the following areas: poverty reduction, development of interchurch cooperation and promotion of human rights.
Our work and activities are entirely project-based and resources for project are provided through calls for proposals from national and international donors who, in accordance with their own strategies, support the following program areas:
1. Social development and support,
2. Interchurch cooperation,
3. Health-educative program
Currently (in 2008) there are some 14 mutually connected and complementary projects that cover these program areas.
